Adults:
For adults, Sunday school takes place most weeks from 9:30-10:25 in the Fireside Lounge (in the Education Building). On Festival Sundays, the class begins at 9:00 a.m. They are currently working its way through a study called Discovering the Bible by Kerygma which gives a good overview of the entire Bible. Each week is a stand-alone lesson, so come as you are able. The class is always happy to welcome new people to the group.
Discovering the Bible includes fifteen Old Testament lessons and fifteen New Testament lessons that focus on main biblical themes, rather than a book-by-book study. Old Testament themes include: Beginnings, Promise, Exodus, The Two Kingdoms, The Exile & Return, The Law, Wisdom, Visions, and others. New Testament themes include: Good News, Savior, The Kingdom, The Crucifixion & Resurrection, Spirit, Proclamation, The Church, Hope, and others.
If you would like to have a better understanding of the Bible but don’t know where to begin, this study would be a great place to start. This a way of getting the 10,000-foot view—the broad sweep—of the biblical story which will equip you for a deeper study of individual books in the Bible.
Questions? Or would you like to join the class online via the church’s video link? Please reach out to Ron Crawford at spiritualcare@eurekachristian.org.
Children and Youth:
The Education Team is pleased to offer “Explore God’s Inner Word,” our Sunday School program for 2025-2026. This year we will learn how to hear God’s Word for us with the help of the Fruit of the Spirit.
Classes will be held Sundays in October, February, and March from 9:30-10:15. (On Festival Service Sundays, October 26 & March 29, classes will be from 9:00-9:45 a.m.) Kids Connect is for ages 4-4th grade; the Youth Classes are for grades 5-12.
Through this program, participants will learn:
- about the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)~love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control
- Bible stories that feature each Fruit of the Spirit;
- meaningful and creative ways to pray;
- pathways to encounter God’s Holy Presence all around us.
Friends and guests are always welcome!
